One word comes to mind when thinking of last week’s Gateway Talent Fair 2.0 and Food Truck Roundup: Success.
Actually, maybe two: Huge success.
This year’s Gateway Talent and Food Truck event featured 26 companies from the Intelligence Community and beyond, three local food trucks, and live music. The turnout was great, the weather held out, and no one left hungry.
Starting in the wee hours of the morning, the ADG parking lot began its transformation from a quiet stretch of parking spaces to…
…a full-on block party featuring tents, giveaways, live music, brisket sandwiches, sodas, and more. By 11am, the tents were up, companies and job seekers were connecting, and the talented Cris Jacobs was serenading the crowd while we enjoyed delicious grub from local food trucks The Green Bowl, Mindgrub Café, and Wieland’s BBQ.
Colonel Gateway, the self-proclaimed patron saint of Columbia Gateway Drive, even made an appearance, shaking hands, encouraging job seekers, and chatting with companies (perhaps he’s looking for a new gig too? We hope not.)
From all of us at ADG: thank you to those who sponsored, participated in, and made this year’s Gateway Talent Fair & Food Truck Roundup the success it was. Huge success, that is.
