Patting Ourselves on the Back: ADG Wins 3 ADDY Awards

At this year’s Baltimore American Advertising Awards – aka the ADDYs – put on by the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore, ADG Creative took home three awards:

  • Gold for ADG’s Gumbo & Mistletoe 2017 integrated invitation, website, and environmentals design
  • Two silvers for ADG’s Gumbo & Mistletoe 2017 invitation design

Gumbo ‘Til It’s Gone

Every year, ADG hosts an epic charity event turned extravaganza we call Gumbo & Mistletoe. No one is really sure when it started but at some point after Hurricane Katrina devastated the New Orleans area,  ADG started hosting Gumbo as a way to get together and collect toys to send to the children of the 9th Ward. Podcasts are on the up and up, with more than 67 million Americans tuning in monthly and an astounding 42 million weekly. And, as you’ll hear time and time again throughout this series, if you’re not one of them…you’re missing out.

ADG’s Littlest Creatives Do BYKTWD 2017

Thursday, April 27 was National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day – but here at ADG, it’s better known as BYKTWD (Bring Your Kids to Work Day). It wasn’t your typical “shadow your parent for the day” event; we went all out, from video production to scavenger hunts to button-making and everything in between. Even our office transformed into a BYKTWD-dedicated space, with signage and stickers plastered on windows, walls, and desks. On this day, it was all about the kids.

ADG Art Director Kathe Flynn is kind of a big deal. But she’s too humble to admit it. Not only does Kathe produce next-level work for ADG and our clients, but she’s also a master cupcake creator and Supermom. When she’s not providing guidance and direction on creative projects at ADG, Kathe can be found contributing to the local design community as Board Member and Social Programming Chair for the American Advertising Federation Baltimore, and Board Member and Volunteer for the Production Club of Baltimore.
